FOR PROFESSIONALS WHO WORK WITH CONFLICT
You already work with conflict — as a mediator, a coach, a therapist, a leader, or an HR professional. You have tools. And you have likely sensed, in the middle of a session, that the tools stop somewhere short of what the situation is actually asking for.
The Seven Levels of Conflict Resolution is a framework built for that gap. Not more technique — a deeper map. One that accounts for the identity questions, the emotional patterns, the relational ruptures, and the layers of meaning that sit beneath every conflict most practitioners ever reach.
The Seven Levels Practitioner Certification is where you develop a working fluency with all seven levels — and earn the credential to bring them into your practice.
"Conflict is not the obstacle to connection. It is, more often, the doorway."

If you work with people navigating disagreement, tension, or breakdown — and you want a framework that goes beyond technique — you are in the right place.
WHO THIS IS FOR
MEDIATORS
You know how to hold space. What the Seven Levels adds is a map for what is actually happening beneath the positions — and a language to work with it.
COACHES & THERAPISTS
Conflict shows up in every coaching container. This gives you a structured, developmental framework for turning those moments into breakthroughs instead of detours.
HR & PEOPLE LEADERS
The Seven Levels replaces the instinct-and-policy approach with a coherent model that makes your interventions more consistent, more human, and more effective.
Sessions resolve the issue on the surface, but the same tension reappears weeks later.
You can see that the conflict is about something deeper than what is being said — but you do not have a clear map for where to go with that.
People leave with agreements, but not with understanding. The relationship does not actually shift.
You sense the conflict is connected to identity, or values, or something that neither party has language for — and you do not know how to work at that level professionally.
These are not gaps in skill. They are gaps in framework.
The Seven Levels were built to address exactly this.
THE FRAMEWORK
Introduced in Resolving From Within, the Seven Levels of Conflict Resolution see conflict not as a problem to be managed — but as a signal moving through progressively deeper dimensions of experience.
LEVEL 1
Creating safety and conditions for genuine dialogue to begin.
LEVEL 2
Understanding and integrating the emotional dimension of conflict.
LEVEL 3
Examining how each person's sense of self is implicated in the conflict.
LEVEL 4
Restoring connection, trust, and the relational field between people.
LEVEL 5
Helping each party find authentic language for what they truly need.
LEVEL 6
Accessing the deeper knowing that lies beneath stated positions.
LEVEL 7
Recognizing the deeper unity and shared humanity that conflict often obscures.
Each level is not a stage to complete and leave behind. They are always present — and a skilled practitioner learns to read where the conversation is actually living.
WHAT IS INSIDE
This is not a course to consume. It is a training to inhabit — designed so that what you learn, you also live through, in real time, with others.
1
~7 hours
We go well beyond introduction. You will explore each level through case studies, live practice, and Ian's guided reflection — building the working fluency that comes from encountering the framework in motion, not just on paper. By the end, the Seven Levels will feel less like a model you have learned and more like a lens you now carry.
2
~7 hours
This is where theory becomes skill. Through structured exercises and role scenarios, you practise identifying which level a conflict is operating at — and what it calls for. You develop fluency in shifting between levels, following what the situation reveals rather than imposing a predetermined process.
3
~4 hours
The most transformative work a practitioner can do is on themselves. This portion of the training invites you to explore your own patterns — where conflict triggers you, what levels you naturally avoid, and where your own resolution journey lives. Practitioners who do this work hold space more cleanly for others.
4
~3 hours
The final arc of the training is yours to shape. We explore how the Seven Levels integrates into different professional contexts — coaching containers, mediation sessions, HR interventions, leadership environments. You leave with a clear picture of how to apply what you have learned in the specific work you do.
WHAT YOU RECEIVE
Delivered live via Zoom across seven Thursday evenings. Ian remains the sole teacher of the Seven Levels Framework, and every session is a genuine live learning environment — not a replay experience.
Upon completion, you receive the Certified Seven Levels Practitioner credential — a meaningful professional designation grounded in demonstrated, applied learning.
Every certification participant receives a physical Conflict Exploration Kit card deck — a tangible, professional-grade tool built on the Seven Levels Framework that you can begin using with clients immediately.
You learn alongside a small group of practitioners from different professional backgrounds. This peer diversity is part of the curriculum — the dynamics in the room become some of the richest material.
Certification graduates receive six complimentary months in the Seven Levels Community of Practice — a practitioner space anchored by a monthly hot seat and peer learning event. A place to keep working the framework alongside others who carry the same credential.
The book that introduced the Seven Levels Framework. A foundational reference that deepens between now and your cohort date, and continues to serve your practice long after.

After certification, Specializations are available individually at $245 each. For those who already know where they want to go deeper, the option to include any two Specializations is available at the time of registration — at a combined price that reflects that you are committing to the deeper work from the start.

"The work is more important than the transaction."
If the investment is the only thing standing between you and this training, reach out before you decide not to register. QUESTIONS
It means you have moved through a rigorous, applied training in the Seven Levels Framework — not just conceptually, but through lived practice with real practitioners in a cohort environment. The designation is meaningful because the training it represents is meaningful. It gives you both the framework and the professional credential to use it with confidence in your work.
The certification is designed for practitioners who are already working in contexts where conflict appears — mediators, coaches, HR professionals, therapists, leaders. You do not need a specific credential or degree to participate. What matters is that conflict is genuinely part of your professional world, and that you want a deeper framework for working with it.
Most conflict resolution training focuses on process and technique — how to structure a mediation, how to facilitate a difficult conversation. The Seven Levels goes further. It addresses the why beneath the conflict: the identity questions, the emotional patterns, the relational ruptures that technique alone cannot touch. Practitioners who come with prior training consistently find that the framework gives them a vocabulary and a map for the dimension of their work they were already sensing but could not yet articulate.
Each session is recorded for cohort members — not as a replacement for live attendance, but as a safety net. If you miss a session, you can watch the recording before the following Thursday so no level is lost. The live sessions are where the real applied work happens, and attendance matters. But life intervenes sometimes, and the recording ensures you can stay with the cohort.
After certification, practitioners can deepen in specific application areas — mediation, conflict coaching, organizational implementation, couple and family support, and personal resolution. Each is a 7-hour, virtual, a la carte training at $245. You do not need to decide now. The only reason to include two Specializations at registration ($980 total) is if you already know where you want to go next and prefer to commit to that at the outset. There is no pressure to do so, and the price of individual Specializations does not change after certification.
The Seven Levels Practitioner Certification is not currently accredited by a professional association, and it does not carry pre-approved CE or CPD credits with bodies such as ICF, HRPA, or ADR Institute. The 21 hours of live training may qualify as self-directed continuing education under many professional frameworks — but whether it counts toward your specific requirements depends on your governing body and how they define eligible learning. If this matters to your decision, we recommend checking with your association before registering. What we can say clearly: the training is rigorous, applied, and designed to meaningfully develop your professional practice — which is what continuing education is for.
Yes. The certification is not a continuation of prior coursework — it is where deep working knowledge of the framework is built from the ground up. Practitioners who arrive without prior exposure to the Seven Levels often find it an advantage: they encounter the framework without assumptions and develop fluency on their own terms. What matters is not prior knowledge of this specific framework, but whether conflict is genuinely part of your professional world and you sense there is a deeper dimension to it worth developing.
AN INVITATION
What you learn to do with that signal — that is the practice the certification is built around.
